Calzone

13 Apr

I am currently expecting and cannot diet, but as soon as this sweet bean pops out, it’s back to diet and exercise for this family! So each week I will be calculating each meal for both calories and cost.  That way, when the time comes, calorie counting should be a cinch!  Here’s one of our EASY favorites:

Calzone

Ingredients:

1 can Pillsbury refrigerated French loaf
2 oz Pepperoni
    Sliced Deli Ham
2 c mozzarella cheese
1   egg yolk
1 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 tbsp Parsley
1/4 c Spaghetti Sauce

Directions:

Roll out the French loaf onto a cookie sheet.  In a bowl, mix together egg yolk, oil, parmesan, and parsley.  Spread onto French loaf.  layer ham, pepperoni, and mozzarella (feel free to use whatever pizza toppings your family likes).  Roll up the French loaf.  Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
